About Steve Hullfish

Steve Hullfish got his first full-time paid job in the industry before he started his sophomore year in college. By the end of college he was a news photographer/editor for ABC affiliate WOKR-TV in Rochester, New York. Shortly after that, he moved to Chicago where he produced shows and crewed for productions on The Travel Channel and SportsChannel before joining WPWR-TV as senior promo producer for five years. Following that, he turned his attentions to becoming a nationally recognized editor at Chicago post-production house, Del Hall Video, editing for clients such as The Oprah Winfrey Show (including a national Emmy for Outstanding Editing as part of the Oprah editing team), Avid Technologies, United Airlines, Sun Microsystems, IBM and Gatorade. While at Del Hall, Hullfish was also hand-picked to become one of the first Avid Master Editors in the world. Finally, before founding Verascope Pictures, Hullfish worked for Big Idea Productions (VeggieTales) producing everything that went out the door that wasn't animation. This included dozens of trailers, TV spots, radio spots, DVDs, DVD bonus features, radio interviews, direct-to-video programs and TV specials.
